Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer will work remotely, covering Scotland, and be responsible for managing key accounts and generating new business opportunities across industrial and process markets, promoting a full range of instrumentation and flow control products such as pressure, level, flow, and temperature instruments, including gauges, switches, sensors, and valves.

The Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts for instrumentation, sensors, pressure, temperature, flow, level, or analytical measurement products into industrial and process environments.

  • £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer Role
  • Manage key accounts across OEM, distribution, and end-user customers within industrial and process markets.
  • Promote a wide range of instrumentation and flow control products, such as pressure, level, flow and temperature instruments, including gauges, switches, sensors and valves.
  • Develop new business and grow existing relationships across sectors such as chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, mining and water.
  • Drive sales growth through product demonstrations, exhibitions, negotiations, and by following up on marketing-generated leads and new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with engineering departments to provide technical support and guidance.
  • Work remotely, covering Scotland.
Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer Requirements
  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, or Technical Sales Engineer within an engineering, instrumentation, or flow control environment.
  • Experienced in selling and supporting instrumentation products such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, or analytical measurement instruments, or related products/applications.
  • Proven experience managing your own territory, conducting face-to-face customer visits, and developing long-term relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of winning and closing business.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Scotland.
