This is a unique opportunity for a passionate artist and educator to join a thriving Arts faculty with an exceptional reputation for creative excellence. The successful candidate will support highly ambitious Sixth Form students studying Fine Art alongside a range of academic A Levels, helping them to develop their artistic practice through studio work, critique, enrichment and portfolio development.

The school places a strong emphasis on the Arts across the curriculum and offers a wide range of creative qualifications at GCSE, BTEC and A Level. Students benefit from outstanding specialist facilities including professional studio spaces, a dedicated gallery area and opportunities to collaborate with practising artists and creative organisations.

  • Support and stretch highly able students to achieve top grades and secure places at leading universities
  • Lead enrichment opportunities including exhibitions, gallery visits and workshops
  • Work collaboratively with staff to share creative practice and curriculum innovation
  • Contribute to the continued development of an outstanding Arts provision

A reduced teaching timetable is offered to allow additional time for subject development, mentoring and artistic collaboration.

  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Fine Art
  • Be confident teaching or supporting Fine Art up to A Level standard
  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate young people
  • Be collaborative, reflective and committed to creative education

A formal teaching qualification is not essential; however, experience working with young people and a passion for education are highly desirable.

This opportunity would suit an established artist, practising creative professional or experienced Art educator seeking a rewarding role within a high-performing school environment.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.
