Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst

Location: Harlow, Essex

Salary/Benefits: £26k - £31k + Training & Benefits

A UKAS accredited Asbestos specialist is recruiting for a detail-oriented Asbestos Lab Analyst in the South East of England. They are seeking someone with good hands-on experience of bulk analysis of ACMs, who is consistent in meeting / exceeding performance targets. It is essential that you are local to the laboratory, as you will be commuting on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and will be able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge. Experience / Qualifications:

• Must hold the BOHS P401 as a minimum
• Successful record working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
• Excellent industry technical knowledge
• Comfortable managing your own workload
• Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• Hardworking attitude

The Role:

• Undertaking bulk analysis of ACM samples
• Using stereo-microscopy and PLM to complete analysis
• Receiving samples into the lab, logging and storing correctly
• Updating the internal database with analysis results
• Creating and issuing analysis certificates to clients
• Calibrating lab equipment
• Participating in quality assurance checks and auditing
• Working to set industry standards and company targets
