Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Salary/Benefits: £26k - £42k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company growth, our client is recruiting for an Asbestos Surveyor to cover domestic and commercial sites. You will be travelling across the North East of England, ensuring to adhere to strict safety guidelines and personal performance targets. Our client is able to provide excellent further training into the analytical, including P cert modules or RSPH tickets. We are seeking someone with strong industry knowledge and flexibility to travel in line with company needs. The successful candidate can anticipate competitive salaries and benefits packages.

Locations of work include: Sunderland, Durham, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Washington, Seaham, Chester-le-Street, Houghton le Spring, Stanley, Consett, Prudhoe, Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, North Shields, South Shields, Blyth, Hartlepool, Spennymoor, Middlesborough, Redcar, Yarm, Barnard Castle, Guisborough, Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
• Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
• Good understanding of HSG 264 guidelines
• Able to produce detailed technical reports
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Hardworking attitude

The Role:

• Undertaking asbestos management, demolition and refurbishment surveys
• Collecting ACM samples from site
• Meeting with clients to provide updates after competing surveys
• Collating findings to produce site-specific technical reports
• Delivering asbestos awareness training courses
• Wearing correct PPE on site
• Supporting new members of staff with training
• Adhering to company travel needs
