Thrive Personnel are seeking reliable and hardworking Wooden Shed Assembly Operatives to join our clients team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and finishing wooden sheds and outdoor timber structures to a high standard. This role requires practical woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Working hours 6am - 2.30pm
Key Responsibilities
Assemble wooden sheds, summer houses, log stores, and other timber garden buildings.
Read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, and specifications.
Measure, cut, and fit timber components accurately.
Install doors, windows, roofing materials, and hardware fittings.
Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as required.
Report any material shortages, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Previous experience in shed assembly, carpentry, joinery, woodworking, or a similar manufacturing role.
Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
Good practical and manual dexterity skills.
Ability to follow instructions and technical drawings accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good time management and reliability.
Desirable
Experience assembling garden buildings or timber frame structures.
Forklift licence (if applicable).
Health and Safety or Construction-related qualifications.
Basic understanding of timber materials and woodworking techniques.

Working Conditions
