Assistant Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee or Assistant Estimator to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality projects across various sectors in the UK and Europe.

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering  fit-out and specialist construction solutions for major clients.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced commercial and pre-construction team, you will assist in the preparation of competitive tenders and cost estimates across a variety of construction projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with preparation of tenders, estimates and pricing submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Performing quantity take-offs and measuring works
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Supporting bid submissions and commercial documentation
• Liaising with operational and project delivery teams
• Maintaining accurate cost records and estimating databases

About You

• Previous experience within estimating, quantity surveying or construction commercial support
• Background within construction, fit-out, refurbishment or interiors advantageous
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Motivated to develop a long-term career within pre-construction/commercial management
