Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established and growing building contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive contractor environment, working across a range of construction projects.

The Role:
Reporting to senior commercial staff, you will assist with the financial and contractual management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Duties will include:

• Assisting with cost planning and budgeting
• Preparing valuations and applications for payment
• Supporting subcontractor procurement and account management
• Monitoring project costs and variations
• Assisting with final accounts
• Producing commercial reports and forecasts
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients

Requirements:

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role or relevant construction commercial background
• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisational ability
• Ambitious and eager to progress within a contractor environment
• Full UK driving licence preferred
