About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QS career who is eager to develop within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors, you will support the commercial delivery of multiple NEC Option B projects, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of schemes. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to learn, takes initiative, and is looking to build a strong foundation in commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the commercial management of multiple NEC Option B projects (ranging from £5k to £1m in value).
• Support with cost control, forecasting, and reporting across a high-volume framework.
• Prepare and assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Help ensure compliance with NEC processes and contractual requirements.
• Work closely with Senior QS team members to deliver commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and support with contractual documentation and correspondence.
• Liaise with operational teams to support day-to-day commercial activities.
• Proactively follow up on actions, queries, and project requirements.
• Contribute to the improvement of commercial processes and templates.

What We’re Looking For

• A proactive and enthusiastic individual with a strong willingness to learn.
• Some experience in a Quantity Surveying role (placement year or post-graduate experience desirable).
• Basic understanding of NEC contracts (preferred but not essential).
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload across multiple projects with support.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• A positive attitude and a desire to develop into a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor.
