We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a leading PLC housebuilder on a live residential development in Blackpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-structured site team, supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale housing development while working alongside experienced Site Managers and construction professionals.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Management team with the day-to-day running of the development, helping to ensure plots are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with NHBC standards.

You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider construction team to maintain programme targets, quality standards, and site safety throughout the build process.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily management of a live new-build housing development
  • Support the delivery of plots in accordance with programme requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and site activities
  • Carry out quality inspections and snagging checks
  • Ensure compliance with NHBC standards and Building Regulations
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture on site
  • Coordinate site logistics, materials, and deliveries
  • Assist with plot completions and customer handovers
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
  • Support the Site Manager in achieving key project milestones


About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential construction
  • Strong understanding of NHBC standards and quality requirements
  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to site management
