Assistant Site Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising on-site construction activities
  • Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers
  • Monitor progress against project schedules
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Conduct site inspections and report any issues
  • Support quality control and ensure work meets required standards
  • Keep site records, reports, and documentation up to date
  • Help manage deliveries and site logistics
  • Communicate with the Site Manager and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Some experience in construction or site supervision (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS – desirable)

Working Conditions

  • Based on a construction site
  • May require early starts, long hours, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
