Our client, a reputable and well-established family-run automotive dealership, is currently looking to appoint a dedicated Assistant Workshop Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled motor trade expert eager to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary circa £35,000, with additional Saturday pay of £90 on a 1 in 3 rota
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 6:00pm

Duties of a Assistant Workshop Controller:
  • Assist the Service Department in managing daily workshop operations
  • Allocate work to technicians efficiently to maximise productivity
  • Support the Workshop Controller in maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle repairs and updates
  • Monitor workshop workflow to ensure timely completion of jobs
  • Maintain accurate workshop records, including invoicing and job documentation
  • Support in training and mentoring junior staff members
  • Promote health and safety practices within the workshop environment
Requirements of a Assistant Workshop Controller:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Assistant Workshop Controller, or similar role in the automotive sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and servicing procedures
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of manufacturer standards and workshop management systems
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and customer service focus
