Assurance Engineer – Service Assurance for Network Transformation
We’re delivering a major network transformation programme, upgrading critical infrastructure into a modern, managed service environment. As an Assurance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that every element of this complex change meets the highest standards of safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical understanding with analytical thinking and clear, structured documentation. You’ll be the link between delivery teams, stakeholders, and customers Assurance — evidencing that assurance is built in at every stage of the service lifecycle.
What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain high-quality assurance documentation, including Service Assurance Plans, requirements Traceability logs, evidence logs, and Service Assurance Case Reports.

Work with clients, architects, and delivery teams to ensure assurance requirements are clearly captured, agreed, and evidenced throughout design, build, transition, and operation.

Communicate assurance progress and risks effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring expectations are aligned and compliance responsibilities are met.

Support the development of structured, evidence-based arguments for service and security assurance cases.

Play a central role in ensuring that managed services meet the safety and performance expectations set by national regulatory authorities.
What You’ll Bring

Strong cross-discipline experience in Information Systems, including Information Security and assurance processes.

Proven background in Information Assurance, Governance, or Service Assurance.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — with the ability to craft clear, persuasive reports and build productive relationships across teams.

Experience in investigations, report writing, and evidence-based analysis.

Experience in assurance analysis techniques, FMEA’s, FTA’s and CCAs’

Current active, SC Clearance is essential.

Experience supporting transitions from legacy to managed service environments.
The role is initially for a 6 month period with a view of extending up to a possible 2.5 years.
Working hours are office standard hours. The role is REMOTE but occasional travel to Southampton site will be required.
Day rate qoted is inside IR35.
