A forward-thinking specialist school, part of a national SEN trust, is seeking an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join their expanding team.
The school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, SEMH needs and associated communication difficulties within a highly supportive and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting autistic pupils with their learning and emotional development
- Delivering structured support routines and sensory strategies
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Supporting behaviour regulation and wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and clinical teams
- Assisting with outdoor learning and enrichment activities
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with Autism or SEN
- Be patient, adaptable and empathetic
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about inclusive education
- Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
