A supportive and well-established SEN school in High Barnet is seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder across a nurturing and structured learning environment.

The Role
You will:
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and classroom participation
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
- Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
- Encourage positive social interaction and independence
- Support students with sensory and emotional needs throughout the school day
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic
- Passionate about supporting children with SEN
- Experienced working with ASD, SEN, schools, or youth settings (preferred but not essential)
- Confident supporting behaviour positively and consistently
- A strong communicator and team player
- Available full-time during term time
- A welcoming and experienced SEN team
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Specialist SEN resources and facilities
- Supportive leadership and collaborative staff culture
