£40,000 – £45,000 + Overtime + Company Van

A well-established security manufacturer specialising in high-security automated gate systems is expanding its Northern engineering team and is looking for an Automatic Gate & Barrier

Engineer to cover Manchester and surrounding areas. This is a field-based service and repair role, working on a range of automated gate and perimeter security systems across commercial sites.

Key Duties of the Gate & Barrier Engineer

  • Service and repair automatic gate systems
  • Maintain traffic barriers, bollards and security blockers
  • Diagnose faults on gate automation and control systems
  • Carry out force testing and safety checks
  • Replace motors, control boards and safety devices
  • Ensure systems meet safety and compliance standards
  • Provide professional on-site customer support

Key Skills & Background

  • Experience working with automatic gates or barriers
  • Strong electrical fault finding skills
  • Knowledge of gate automation systems
  • Comfortable working in a field-based role
  • Good understanding of safety standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience with brands such as FAAC, CAME, BFT, Nice or similar automation systems would be advantageous.

Pay, Benefits and Working hours

  • £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary
  • Door-to-door
  • Overtime 1.5 x
