The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Support learning, communication, and daily routines

  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviour confidently

  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and life skills

  • Work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams

  • Support personal care and wellbeing where required

You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, engaged, and able to reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential)

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential)

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ideal Background

  • SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant

  • Support Worker with children or young people

  • Experience with ASD, SLD or PMLD is highly desirable

Additional Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  • Minimum of two professional references

Location

Based in Pilning, Bristol, with good access from Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Newport, Gwent.
