Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing school in Caerphilly. This is a opportunity to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), particularly those displaying behavioural challenges such as Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will have the potential to secure a permanent position.

You will play a vital role in fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment and supporting the school's mission of promoting a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with ALN, including Autism, ADHD, and behavioural or communication difficulties, in both small groups and 1:1 settings.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and help pupils regulate their emotions and responses in the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
• Support inclusive learning by adapting activities and materials to meet diverse pupil needs.
• Assist in preparing classroom resources that encourage engagement and emotional development.
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents as appropriate.
