We are looking for a time-served Bench Joiner to join our workshop team producing high-quality commercial furniture and bespoke joinery for hospitality, leisure, retail, and corporate environments.

⚠️ Please note: This role is workshop-based bench joinery, not site carpentry. Candidates must have experience in cabinet making, solid surfaces, and detailed joinery, rather than 1st/2nd fix carpentry, doors, or windows.

The Role

You will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke commercial joinery pieces to a high standard, working from technical drawings and using a range of traditional and modern woodworking tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing bespoke joinery items including bars, banquette seating, wall panelling, reception desks, and detailed cabinetry

  • Working confidently from technical drawings, CAD plans, and architectural specifications

  • Producing accurate components using traditional joinery techniques, hand tools, and workshop machinery

  • Working with complex designs, curved forms, premium materials, and intricate detailing

  • Assembling and finishing products to commercial installation standards

  • Maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment

  • Collaborating with project managers and design teams to meet production deadlines

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served Bench Joiner with proven workshop experience

  • Background in bespoke furniture or commercial joinery manufacturing

  • Experience with:

    • Solid surface work

    • Laminating

    • Counter set-up

  • Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail

  • Ability to work to tight tolerances and detailed drawings

  • Competent using woodworking machinery, power tools, and CNC-assisted processes

  • Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ carpentry/joinery experience
