Bench Joiner / Carpenter

Are you an experienced Bench Joiner or Carpenter with a passion for delivering high-quality, bespoke craftsmanship?

Our client, a respected joinery company based in St Ives, is seeking a skilled professional to join their workshop team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role operates Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm.

As a Bench Joiner / Carpenter, you will take ownership of producing unique, custom-made joinery pieces from initial preparation through to completion. Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, your responsibilities will include:

Cutting and preparing timber to exact specifications
Manufacturing and assembling bespoke joinery ready for installation
Accurately interpreting technical drawings
Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Modifying designs to suit client requirements
Monitoring stock levels and reporting any material issues

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Proven experience as a Bench Joiner / Carpenter within bespoke joinery
Strong knowledge of both traditional and modern joinery methods
Confidence using hand tools and power tools
Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
