Overview:
Our long-standing client is looking to appoint a BIM Manager to lead the development and implementation of BIM strategy, standards, and processes across the business on a 6-month FTC with the opportunity to be extended.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, responsible for driving BIM adoption, ensuring high-quality model coordination, and supporting efficient project delivery across complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:BIM Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement BIM strategy, standards, and workflows aligned with business objectives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and information management best practices
- Manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific requirements
Model Coordination & Delivery
- Lead multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection
- Ensure model accuracy, quality, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards
- Conduct audits of BIM models and deliverables
Systems & Data Management
- Manage Common Data Environment (CDE), data structures, and naming conventions
- Oversee document control, versioning, and data integrity
- Support integration between BIM, CAD, and manufacturing systems
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Act as the key point of contact for BIM across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and BIM best practice adoption
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator role
- Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management
- Proficiency in tools such as Revit, Navisworks and/or MicroStation
- Strong understanding of engineering/design workflows
- Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs)
Desirable:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar
- BIM certification (ISO 19650 / BIM Level 2)
- Experience within manufacturing or complex engineering environments
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Dynamo, DriveWorks)
- Experience integrating BIM with production or manufacturing systems
On Offer:
- £55,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
- 6-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend)
- 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday, 37 hours)
- Predominantly office-based with occasional travel
