Boat Builder

Full Time | Permanent | Norfolk
I’m currently working with a well-established British yacht manufacturer, known for producing high-end, bluewater sailing yachts. This is a business where traditional craftsmanship meets modern engineering, and they’re looking to bring in an experienced Boat Builder to support continued growth at their Norfolk site.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in both interior and exterior build, contributing to the full lifecycle of the yacht. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in high-quality finishes.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced production team, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing and fitting a wide range of components across luxury sailing yachts. You’ll be working from technical drawings and specifications, ensuring everything is built and installed to a high standard.
The role covers a mix of joinery, structural work, and final fit-out, so it would suit someone with a broad boatbuilding background or a strong trade skillset within marine.
Key Responsibilities

Installing bulkheads and structural components
Epoxy lay-up of sub-assemblies
Manufacture and installation of cabin sole bearers and sole boards
Cladding and finishing of interior bulkheads

General quality checks and testing
About You
You’ll ideally come from a boatbuilding or marine background, with experience across timber and/or GRP construction. That said, candidates from related trades (joinery, composites, carpentry) with the right attitude are also encouraged to apply.
You should be comfortable working from technical drawings, confident using hand and power tools, and have a good understanding of health and safety on site.
Attention to detail is key here, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
What’s on Offer
Competitive hourly rate
25+ days holiday including bank holidays, plus Christmas shutdown
Pension scheme
Early finish on Fridays
Flexible working options
Cycle to work scheme
