Boatyard Operative – South Coast Marina & Boatyard We are currently working with a well-established marina and boatyard operation on the South Coast to recruit a Boatyard Operative to support both boatyard and dry stack activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, thrives in a busy marine environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. The role would suit an enthusiastic and reliable individual looking to build a long-term career within the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting day-to-day boatyard and dry stack operations
  • Assisting with vessel movements and general yard activities
  • Providing a high level of customer service to berth holders and visitors
  • Working closely with the wider marina and boatyard team
  • Operating within a fast-paced and safety-conscious environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A positive, hardworking, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to support different operational areas when required
  • Basic IT confidence and willingness to learn internal systems
  • A full UK driving licence
Previous experience with plant machinery, boat handling, or marina/boatyard operations would be highly advantageous, although full training can be provided for the right individual.

This position involves working outdoors year-round and includes working 1 in 4 weekends, alongside some bank holidays on a rota basis.
