This Night-Shift Vehicle Body Repair Technician position offers a 4-day guaranteed workweek from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Thursday. As a dedicated Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle repairs in a modern, well-equipped workshop environment. - Remove damaged panels or parts for repair or replacement
- Repair minor dents, scratches, and rusted areas using fillers and soldering techniques
- Fit new panels when damage exceeds repairability
- Prepare surfaces by stripping old paintwork, sealant, and rust
- Match paint colours, prime, and spray finish repaired panels
- Seal and wax repaired surfaces to high standards
- Carry out Mechanical and Electrical Trim (MET), including stripping and fitting body panels
- Complete repairs independently, ensuring high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced team setting
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Bridgend
- Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
- Relevant IMI/NVQ qualifications in Vehicle Body Repair are highly advantageous but not essential
- Proven practical experience in vehicle body repair, including panel, paint, and MET disciplines
- Ability to work independently and deliver high standards of workmanship
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Flexibility to work night shifts on a consistent basis
- Individuals with significant practical experience but no formal qualifications will also be considered
