About the Role:

As Bodyshop Manager Trainee, you will play a key role in the success of our Yeovil operation, a £3.3m turnover site employing more than 20 colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving operational performance, developing your team and ensuring the site operates efficiently, safely and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

Your development programme will prepare you to:

  • Drive commercial performance (sales, profit margin) performance, ensuring alignment with business plans.
  • Engage with staff regularly, conduct performance reviews, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Lead daily meetings with key team members to set and achieve output targets.
  • Monitor and resolve customer complaints promptly and fairly.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to deliver service-level agreements.
  • Perform daily/weekly on-site and production reports and meetings
  • Proactively gather and act on customer feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Build detailed knowledge of client profiles to maximise upselling opportunities.
  • Foster a flexible and well-resourced team environment.
  • Act as the ‘public face’ of the site while managing all operational aspects of the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with Housekeeping, Health & Safety, BSI0125 standards, and manufacturer requirements.

By the completion of the development programme, you will be capable of independently managing a repair centre, delivering strong operational performance, excellent customer outcomes, a motivated team culture and sustainable profitability.
