Bookkeeper

Full time permanent – fully office based

I’m recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join on a full time permanent basis. You will be responsible for the below duties:

Financial Management & Bookkeeping:

  • Manage bank reconciliations across multiple companies, including bank accounts and credit card transactions.
  • Post and allocate payments/receipts.
  • Process month-end financial tasks such as recharges, prepayments, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Maintain payment folders for different locations
  • Enter purchasing and sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and check supplier statements.
  • Process VAT returns monthly.
  • Work with auditors on year-end financial accounts.

Payroll & Timesheets:

  • Send, check, and chase timesheets for employees, self-employed and contractors.
  • Process weekly payroll for self-employed workers and contractors.
  • Set up new employees for holiday/absence management.
  • Process monthly salaries for full-time employees.

Administration & Compliance:

  • Manage supplier payments by bank transfer and cheque.
  • Send customer statements and remittances monthly.
  • Handle correspondence related to new agreements (e.g., land rent, hire purchase agreements).
  • Renew insurance policies and tax company vehicles.
  • Arrange travel for the Managing Director.

Inventory & Procurement:

  • Source and negotiate diesel pricing.
  • Purchase items such as stationery, cleaning materials, packaging, and printing supplies.
  • Track produce sales and verify bulk sale tickets against invoices.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
