I’m recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join on a full time permanent basis. You will be responsible for the below duties:
Financial Management & Bookkeeping:
- Manage bank reconciliations across multiple companies, including bank accounts and credit card transactions.
- Post and allocate payments/receipts.
- Process month-end financial tasks such as recharges, prepayments, depreciation, and disposals.
- Maintain payment folders for different locations
- Enter purchasing and sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and check supplier statements.
- Process VAT returns monthly.
- Work with auditors on year-end financial accounts.
Payroll & Timesheets:
- Send, check, and chase timesheets for employees, self-employed and contractors.
- Process weekly payroll for self-employed workers and contractors.
- Set up new employees for holiday/absence management.
- Process monthly salaries for full-time employees.
Administration & Compliance:
- Manage supplier payments by bank transfer and cheque.
- Send customer statements and remittances monthly.
- Handle correspondence related to new agreements (e.g., land rent, hire purchase agreements).
- Renew insurance policies and tax company vehicles.
- Arrange travel for the Managing Director.
Inventory & Procurement:
- Source and negotiate diesel pricing.
- Purchase items such as stationery, cleaning materials, packaging, and printing supplies.
- Track produce sales and verify bulk sale tickets against invoices.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
