The Role of Bookkeeper & Payroll Manager (Practice), Leicester

This is a varied and hands-on role combining bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities, working with multiple clients across the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
• Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring records are up to date
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting the accounts team with financial reporting
• Communicating directly with clients regarding financial information

Payroll Duties:

• Running end-to-end payroll (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly)
• Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
• Administering pension schemes across multiple providers
• Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience within practice 
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and processes
• Experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and client-focused mindset
