We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Press Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and manual brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and adjust brake press machines for production runs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings.
- Program and operate CNC brake press equipment where required.
- Perform first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Monitor production runs and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Measure and inspect finished components using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Previous experience as a Brake Press Setter, Press Brake Operator, or similar manufacturing role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience setting and operating CNC brake press machines.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar brake press equipment.
- Forklift or overhead crane certification.
- Engineering or manufacturing qualification.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Manufacturing or workshop environment.
