An established building services and sustainability consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated BREEAM Assessor to join its growing sustainability team.
The business delivers integrated engineering and low carbon consultancy services across a broad range of sectors including commercial, industrial, education, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting sustainable design strategies and environmental certification delivery across projects throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BREEAM assessments from pre-assessment through to final certification
- Prepare, coordinate, and review evidence submissions in line with BRE requirements
- Provide sustainability advice to clients, contractors, architects, and project teams
- Support project teams in achieving targeted BREEAM ratings
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation
- Attend client meetings, design workshops, and site visits where required
- Assist with wider sustainability and low carbon consultancy services
- Monitor project progress against environmental and sustainability objectives
- Produce high-quality technical reports and assessment documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BREEAM standards, legislation, and industry best practice
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Licensed BREEAM Assessor accreditation
- Experience delivering BREEAM assessments within the UK construction industry
- Strong understanding of sustainable building design and environmental legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
- BREEAM AP qualification
- Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
- Knowledge of low carbon design principles and energy strategies
- Familiarity with:
- One Click LCA
- IES VE
- Energy modelling software
- Embodied carbon assessments
- Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or related discipline
