Building Surveyor - Fire Safety

A Building Surveyor role based in Orpington, Kent offering £60,000–£75,000 on a Permanent full-time basis. This position combines building surveying with fire safety and health and safety compliance across public sector assets, reporting to a Partner and managing instructions independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inspections, technical reports and defect diagnosis
• Manage projects including surveys and contract administration
• Undertake fire risk assessments and compliance advisory
• Prepare specifications, tenders and statutory applications
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• MRICS qualified or working towards
• Consultancy experience in building surveying
• Knowledge of fire safety and health and safety legislation
• Experience with JCT contracts and project delivery
• Ability to produce technical reports independently
