Building Surveyor – Social Housing
The role will involve carrying out detailed property inspections, preparing schedules of work, providing accurate costings, and supporting contract delivery across a wide variety of retrofit projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed surveys of occupied and void properties
- Prepare accurate specifications, schedules of work, and cost estimates
- Provide valuations in line with contract requirements
- Monitor works on-site to ensure compliance with specifications and KPIs
- Identify building defects, risks, and remedial actions
- Produce clear technical reports and maintain records on SharePoint
- Work closely with contract managers, operatives, and clients
- Act as a key contact for tenants and stakeholders on technical matters
About You
- Proven experience working in social housing
- Previous experience in surveying within housing, maintenance, or construction
- Knowledge of retrofit works and planned maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
