We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing property services and surveying organisation for an experienced Building Surveyor to lead a team delivering surveying and property inspection services across residential portfolios.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and driven surveying professional to take ownership of operational delivery, team performance, and client relationships within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

You will oversee the delivery of surveying services across a range of residential and property maintenance projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.

You will lead and support a team of surveyors while acting as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting a team of building surveyors and technical staff
  • Overseeing property inspections, defect diagnosis, and reporting
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with budgets, KPIs, and service standards
  • Managing responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids, and refurbishment programmes
  • Reviewing specifications, schedules of work, and contractor performance
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
  • Producing technical reports, performance data, and operational updates
  • Building strong relationships with clients, residents, and contractors
  • Supporting continuous improvement and service development initiatives

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Building Surveying or Property Maintenance
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential property maintenance and construction
  • Experience managing teams, contractors, and operational delivery
  • Ability to diagnose building defects and specify remedial works
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational and commercial awareness
  • Good IT skills and experience using property or asset management systems
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach

Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential

  • HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
