Role Purpose
The Business Analyst will support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of business information systems across multiple departments by gathering requirements, supporting system changes, and contributing to compliant, efficient business processes within a regulated GMP/GDP environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support business-critical IT systems and applications across the organisation.
- Assist in identifying business problems, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and support delivery of practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and manage business requirements by engaging with stakeholders under guidance from senior team members.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams.
- Create, maintain, and support user stories through review and approval.
- Document existing business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
- Support qualitative review of documentation and application changes to ensure compliance with GMP and GDP requirements.
- Assist in resolving business and system-related issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test execution, documentation, and sign‑off activities.
- Assist with BAU issue resolution, including scoping changes, requirements capture, and functional testing.
- Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders on requirements, testing, and approvals.
- Complete pre‑ and post‑implementation checklists and contribute to implementation reviews.
- Capture lessons learned and suggest improvements to business analysis processes and documentation.
- Write and update SOPs, reports, and other supporting documentation as required.
- Maintain awareness of legislative, regulatory, and internal platform updates relevant to assigned systems.
Essential Experience, Skills & Abilities
- Experience working within IT or application project teams, including involvement in business requirements gathering.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements with support.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and system integrations.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Ability to design, execute, and document basic UAT activities.
- Experience working across multiple business functions to capture and refine requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a regulated environment.
