Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a skilled and analytical Business Analyst to play a key role in bridging business needs, customer outcomes, and IT delivery.
Job Overview
This role is central to understanding business processes, capturing clear and robust requirements, and ensuring that IT solutions deliver meaningful improvements for both customers and colleagues. The Business Analyst will work across a range of stakeholders to translate business needs into effective, high‑quality IT outcomes.
The postholder will operate confidently within complex environments, supporting customer‑facing platforms, operational systems, and integration projects. The role will contribute to change, transition, and mobilisation initiatives by ensuring that solutions are well‑defined, aligned to standards, and delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business, operational, and customer stakeholders to understand requirements and desired outcomes.
- Analyse current and future state business processes, systems, and customer journeys.
- Produce clear business and functional requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Act as a liaison between business teams, IT delivery teams, and third‑party suppliers.
- Support solution design, prioritisation, and delivery across IT platforms and system integrations.
- Contribute to testing activities, including defining test scenarios and supporting user acceptance testing.
- Identify and manage impacts, risks, and dependencies across systems and stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions align with IT standards, data governance, security requirements, and architecture principles.
Person Specification
- Proven experience working on large, complex IT projects.
- Strong understanding of formal testing methodologies, including test scripts, test plans, documentation, and governance processes.
- Ability to execute structured testing processes and deliver outputs in line with defined standards.
- Strong general IT background.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Analytical, structured, and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work confidently across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
