Business Development Executive – Recruitment (South West - Hybrid Working)

My client is a well-established, multi-national recruitment agency with a strong presence across Europe, and they are now looking to expand their sales function in the South West with the addition of a driven Business Development Executive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional to join a forward-thinking, people-focused organisation with a strong reputation in the industrial recruitment sector.

The Role
This is a pure business development position focused on winning new clients. You will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and securing new business opportunities across a large and largely untapped territory.

Unlike traditional 360 recruitment roles, you will not be responsible for filling vacancies — instead, you will hand over all secured business to an experienced delivery team, allowing you to focus solely on what you do best: generating new revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Proactively engaging decision-makers through cold and warm outreach
  • Attending client meetings and presenting recruitment solutions
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Managing your pipeline and activity through CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Networking and developing your professional presence (including LinkedIn)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong business development / B2B sales experience (recruitment experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient
  • Full UK driving licence
