The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hungry, consultative Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to take full ownership of new business within a fast-growing, technology-led facilities management environment.

This is not a transactional sales role — you’ll be building long-term partnerships, engaging senior stakeholders, and designing tailored FM solutions for multi-site clients.

You’ll:

Own the full 360° sales cycle

Build your own pipeline from scratch

Work collaboratively with senior leadership and operations teams

Play a key role in defining growth strategy

Key Responsibilities

Sales & New Business

  • Generate new opportunities through outreach, networking, referrals and events
  • Own the full sales process from prospecting through to close
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers (FDs, COOs, Property Directors)

Consultative Selling

  • Understand client challenges and design bespoke FM solutions
  • Deliver high-quality proposals, presentations and client demos
  • Position the business as a trusted advisor

Pipeline & Performance

  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Ensure accurate CRM tracking and forecasting
  • Report regularly on pipeline activity and performance

Commercial & Tender Management

  • Lead RFPs, tenders and bid submissions end to end
  • Collaborate with operational teams on service design
  • Negotiate contracts with a focus on long-term value and margin

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • 5+ years’ B2B sales experience (FM, building services, or commercial real estate)
  • Proven track record of winning multi-site FM contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margin management, negotiation)
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter with the ability to build pipeline independently
  • Experience managing tenders and structured bid processes
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel

Desirable

  • Experience selling FM technology or service platforms
  • Existing network within hospitality, retail, or workplace sectors
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior sales professionals
