Ethos Education is recruiting a Business Studies Teacher for a secondary school in the Basildon area. This is a full time, permanent role starting in September 2026.
The school is well organised, with a strong uptake in Business Studies at both GCSE and A Level. The department is stable, with shared planning and a consistent approach, so you are not building everything from scratch.
There is also a clear focus on staff wellbeing. Planning is collaborative, expectations are consistent and workload is kept manageable.
The role
• Teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
• Preparing students for GCSE and A Level Business
• Delivering clear, structured lessons with strong subject knowledge
• Contributing to shared planning and departmental resources
• Supporting student progress and outcomes across the subject
The candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Degree in Business, Economics or a related subject
• Experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and ideally KS5
• Able to explain concepts clearly and keep lessons focused
• Comfortable working within a collaborative department
