A well-established and growing construction and refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement activities across a diverse range of residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and refurbishment projects throughout London and the Home Counties.

Key Responsibilities:
• Procuring materials, plant, and subcontract services across multiple live projects
• Obtaining competitive quotations and negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Working closely with commercial, estimating, and site teams to ensure procurement schedules are met
• Monitoring supplier performance, market trends, and cost fluctuations
• Managing procurement processes in line with project budgets and programme requirements
• Resolving supply chain and delivery issues efficiently to minimise project disruption
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and supporting reporting requirements

Requirements:
• Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within the construction sector
• Experience working for a main contractor or refurbishment contractor is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction materials and procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Strong organisational and communication abilities
• Commercially aware with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems
