Cad Design Engineer - Inventor

🚀 We’re Hiring: Inventor CAD Design Engineer (SC Cleared) | Reading | UK Defence Sector --- 6 to 12 month contract

I’m currently supporting our client in the search for a talented PP&E CAD Design Engineer to join their embedded team delivering critical engineering support to a major UK defence programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of complex manufacturing and operational environments, contributing to the design and delivery of plant, property, and equipment solutions. (PP&E)

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Designing equipment and providing CAD support using Autodesk Inventor

• Supporting manufacturing, production, and facilities teams with practical engineering solutions

• Producing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation

• Managing models and data within Autodesk Vault

• Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes

🎯 What we’re looking for:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

• Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor

• Background in manufacturing, production support, or industrial environments

• Knowledge of mechanical systems (piping/pressure systems a plus)

• Existing SC Clearance (essential)
