Role Overview

As a Calibration Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality function by maintaining the site’s Calibration System. You will ensure all measuring and test equipment is controlled, compliant, and audit-ready, contributing directly to operational excellence and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the site calibration system in line with internal and external requirements
• Ensure all measuring and test equipment is calibrated, compliant, and fit for purpose
• Support audit readiness and compliance with industry standards
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to uphold quality standards
• Liaise with external suppliers regarding calibration services
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Familiarity with first principle measurement tools (e.g. plug gauges, micrometers, calipers)
• Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements
• Strong communication and numeracy skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)

Desirable:

• Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
• Previous experience (3+ years) in a calibration or quality-focused role (training can be provided for the right candidate)
