CAMHS Social Worker Part Time

We’re working with a well-established, independent healthcare provider to recruit a dedicated Social Worker to support children and young people with complex mental health needs in a structured clinical environment.
This is a pivotal safeguarding-focused role, ideal for someone confident working within multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex cases. You’ll take the lead on safeguarding and child protection, supporting young people with needs including:
- Autism spectrum conditions
- Eating disorders
- Learning disabilities
- Attachment and developmental difficulties
- Mental Health Act involvement
Working closely with clinical teams, you’ll play a key role in assessment, care planning, and discharge pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on all safeguarding and child protection matters
- Manage referrals to local authorities, police, and external agencies
- Complete comprehensive social care assessments from admission to discharge
- Contribute to Care Programme Approach (CPA) processes
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Prepare reports for tribunals, hearings, and reviews
- Support families, carers, and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker (registered with relevant UK body)
- Experience working with children & young people, ideally in mental health or CAMHS
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation & frameworks
- Confidence managing complex cases and multi-agency working
- Ability to work both independently and within a clinical team
