Capstan Setter – Day Shift
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Wolverhampton for an experienced Capstan Setter to join their busy and established manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable day-shift role within a well-respected company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating capstan lathes to manufacture components to specification.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Selecting and changing tooling as required.
• Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.

Requirements:

• Previous experience setting and operating capstan lathes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
