Part-Time School Caretaker - Dartford

Location: Dartford
Hours: Monday to Friday, Afternoons (20 hours per week)
Pay: £15+ per hour

Academics are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in Dartford. This Caretaker position is a part-time afternoon role, ideal for an experienced Caretaker or someone with previous site, facilities, or maintenance experience looking to work within a school environment.

• Opening, securing, and maintaining the school site
• Carrying out general caretaker duties, including basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Completing routine health & safety and site inspections
• Setting up rooms and school spaces for after-school clubs and activities
• Ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintained
• Supporting school staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks
• Liaising with contractors and visitors when required

• Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Operative, or in a similar role (preferred)
• A practical, reliable, and proactive approach
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
