School Caretaker - Ebbw Vale

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in Ebbw Vale, with a start date in June.

This role offers a consistent split-shift pattern, Monday to Friday, with working hours of 6:30am-10:00am and 2:30pm-6:00pm. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker seeking a long-term position within a supportive school environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and day-to-day upkeep of the school site in Ebbw Vale. Responsibilities include opening and closing the premises, carrying out basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring the school remains a clean and secure environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and securing the school site each day
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring the premises are safe, clean, and well maintained
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site
• Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a School Caretaker or in a similar facilities/site management role is desirable
• Enhanced DBS certificate is essential
• Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently
• Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach
