Category Executive
Arla Foods Limited
Do you want to grow your FMCG career and help set the direction for category and commercial growth with leading dairy brands?
You’ll turn market, shopper and customer insights into category‑led plans that land brilliantly with our retailers—driving mutual growth for our customers and Arla.
How You Will Make an Impact
Based at our Leeds head office, you will join the Category Development function and work cross‑functionally with Sales and Marketing. You’ll analyse data, champion the convenience channel, and build clear, customer‑centric category plans that deliver growth for both the customer and Arla.
- Tailor, plan and execute short‑, medium‑ and long‑term category growth plans with owned customers
- Combine market, shopper and customer insights to identify opportunities and execute category leadership initiatives
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to convert growth plans into outstanding customer execution
- Deliver insights that support range and merchandising recommendations for your retailer(s)
- Act as the internal convenience channel champion and support the wider category team on ad‑hoc projects
What Will Make You Successful
You will be graduate level (or bring 1+ years’ experience in a category or sales role within an FMCG company or retailer), with strong analytical and numerical skills and confidence interpreting market and shopper data.
You’ll be an effective relationship builder and influencer with internal and external stakeholders, highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deliver at pace. Personally, you’ll be insight‑driven and curious - turning data into clear, actionable recommendations - a collaborative communicator who works seamlessly across Category, Sales and Marketing, and a proactive, outcomes‑focused operator who owns delivery and follows through to execution.
We work closely together and promise you a steep learning curve, with colleagues around you to cheer, support and challenge you every day.
What Do We Offer?
We’re committed to supporting your growth and development, offering internal and external training opportunities. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary, 26 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays, matched pension contributions up to 6%, life assurance. We also provide flexible benefits.
