About The Role
Are you an experienced High Intensity Therapist looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are recruiting for a part-time (21 hours per week) High Intensity Therapist based at HMP Highpoint, supporting adults with common mental health difficulties through evidence-based psychological interventions within a secure setting.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality therapeutic support, helping individuals improve their wellbeing and make positive, lasting changes to their lives.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering high-intensity Step 3 interventions through both 1:1 and group-based therapy
- Conducting assessments and determining suitability for evidence-based treatments
- Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans in line with national guidance
- Managing a varied caseload and ensuring timely access to support
- Providing clinical and line management supervision to the Senior PWP
- Supporting service performance, quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Working collaboratively with healthcare teams, prison staff and external partner agencies
What we're looking for:
- Qualified High Intensity Therapist with relevant professional registration
- Experience delivering evidence-based interventions for common mental health conditions
- Strong assessment, risk management and case management skills
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting colleagues
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A commitment to equality, inclusion and person-centred care
This is more than a therapy role. You'll have the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, helping to shape service delivery while supporting individuals on their journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing.

All prison-based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 5 months to complete. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of both checks.
