We are seeking a Chief Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics to take ownership of the technical delivery of vehicle dynamics testing and development programmes, working with a diverse portfolio of global automotive customers.

This is a high-profile engineering role for an experienced technical specialist who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges and driving excellence across multiple projects.

The Role:

As Chief Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics, you will lead the technical delivery of vehicle dynamics test and development programmes across passenger vehicles and other vehicle platforms. Projects may involve physical testing, virtual development, simulation activities or integrated programmes combining both.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical delivery of vehicle dynamics testing and development programmes.
• Acting as the vehicle dynamics subject matter expert across customer projects.
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to engineers and technicians.
• Ensuring successful delivery of vehicle dynamics development activities to customer requirements.
• Supporting the development and execution of vehicle dynamics technical strategy.
• Building strong relationships with OEM, Tier 1 and technology customers.
• Driving continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies and tools.
• Supporting business growth through technical expertise and customer engagement.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in vehicle dynamics development and a passion for technical excellence.

You will ideally possess:

• Proven experience in automotive vehicle dynamics testing and development.
• Experience gained within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, automotive consultancy or specialist engineering environment.
• Ability to provide technical leadership for vehicle dynamics engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Degree qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and Proving Ground Track Permit (essential).

This Chief Engineer Vehicle Dynamics role is commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Tamworth, Rugby, Leicester, Warwick, Northampton, Leamington Spa, Solihull and surrounding areas.
