We are working with a leading national Children`s Residential provider to recruit an experienced Children`s Registered Manager or Deputy Manager that would like to step up. This is an established 3 bed EBD home with an excellent team already in place!
There is also a £2k Car allowance included in the £48.202 starting salary/.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Home Management
- Act as the registered Children’s Home Registered Manager for the service
- Hold full operational and strategic responsibility for the home
- Maintain continuity within an established team and placement set-up
- Ensure staffing, rotas and on-call arrangements meet the needs of the home
- Lead on Ofsted inspections and regulatory compliance
Care Quality & Safeguarding
- Ensure high-quality, child-focused care is delivered consistently
- Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment for young people
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in placement
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies are implemented effectively
- Maintain full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards
Essential Criteria
- Experience working within Children’s Residential Homes
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a senior role (Deputy Manager or above)
- Proven leadership experience managing residential childcare teams
- Strong knowledge of:
- Children’s Homes Regulations
- Ofsted frameworks and inspection standards
- Safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Hold or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
- Experience of maintaining or contributing to Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
