Children’s Residential Support Worker (West Midlands)

About Us

Leading Nurturing Residential Specialist Ltd (LNRS) provides high-quality, nurturing homes for children and young people who have experienced trauma or difficult life experiences.

We are opening three new homes across the West Midlands: two for children aged 8–17, and one supported accommodation service for 16–18-year-olds transitioning into independence.

Locations: Solihull B92, Brownhills WS8 and Handsworth B20

We are looking for caring, resilient and motivated Residential Support Workers to join our growing team and make a real difference to young people’s lives.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care, guidance and encouragement to help children and young people thrive. You will build trusted relationships, support daily routines and promote positive outcomes in a safe, homely environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support children and young people with daily life, education and personal development.
  • Promote independence through life skills and positive role modelling.
  • Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with the team.
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are at the heart of everything you do.

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential.
  • Calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Qualified to Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or working towards it.
  • Has 12 months’ experience in a residential children’s home (preferred).
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable).

Pay Rates:

£12.71 per hour – Level 2 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

£13.00 per hour – Level 3 Children’s Residential (or equivalent)

£13.50+ per hour – Level 3 plus 12 months’ residential children’s home experience
