Children's Social Worker - Children with Disabilities

Our client Bury council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities team.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing the needs of children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs, or other additional needs.
• Completing statutory assessments under relevant children's legislation.
• Developing and reviewing care and support plans.
• Safeguarding children who may be at risk of neglect, abuse, or exploitation.
• Working closely with families, schools, health professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
• Coordinating services such as respite care, direct payments, specialist support, and short breaks.
• Supporting transitions to adulthood for older teenagers.
• Attending child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where required.
• Maintaining accurate case records and reports.
