Children's Team Manager - Children with Disabilities

Our client Tameside metropolitan borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities team.

• Managing and supervising social workers and support staff.
• Overseeing assessments of children with disabilities and their needs.
• Ensuring care plans, safeguarding measures, and statutory responsibilities are carried out effectively.
• Supporting children who may require specialist services, short breaks, direct payments, or social care interventions.
• Working with schools, healthcare professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
• Monitoring team performance, caseloads, and service quality.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
• Managing budgets and resources where applicable.
• Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development for team members.
